B'Shalom,
Ephraim Linker
Our  exclusive three-tier format allows anyone to read and understand Hebrew immediately.
With an English translation on top of the Hebrew word, and a Phonetic Transliteration on the bottom,
all three iterations of a word can be viewed with a single glance.
The HPLS Siddur Handbook Edition of is similar to the Standard Edition, but is arranged in a 5.5" x 8.5" format
with the binding on the long (8.5") edge. The six volumes of the handbook edition contain over 1500 pages.
Because of its smaller format, the Handbook Edition does not contain three overall flow charts that are in the
Standard Edition.
The HPLS Siddur, Six-Volume Set, comes in two versions: a Standard Edition and a Handbook Edition.

The details on the two editions are summarized below, and in the
Six-Volume Set Selection Guide.
The HPLS Siddur Standard Edition is a phonetically-transliterated orthodox version of the traditional Hebrew prayer book.
This prayer book can be used for both Orthodox and Conservative Prayer Services. It is made up of six volumes and
contains over 700 pages. Volumes 2 and 5 includes
flow charts to guide the reader through the differences in the morning
service.

The HPLS siddur contains the prayer service for Weekdays, Shabbat (the Sabbath), the three major Jewish festivals
(Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot), Chanukah, Purim, Rosh Chodesh, and Chol HaMoed (intermediate days of Passover and
Sukkot).

Differences in the order of the prayers are noted so that one can pray in either the Ashkenaz, Chassidic, or Chabad prayer
services (See
Nusach description).

The Standard Edition contains overall flow charts of the morning services for weekdays and the Sabbath and Festivals

The
Standard Edition is arranged in two columns of text per page (click here for a photo). It measures 8 1/2" x 11" and is
bound on the short (8 1/2") edge.

The Standard Edition is usually the first choice because it makes the prayer service easier to follow.
