The HPLS siddur is published in a Standard Edition and a Hand-Book Edition.

Each of these sets of six volumes (1-6) make up a complete siddur that will enable
you to lead a minyan (quorum of 10 over age 13), say Hebrew prayers for
Weekdays, Shabbat and festivals, and pray in
Nusach Ashkenaz or Nusach Sefard,
which represent the order used in most Jewish congregations in the world today.
Adequate notes are provided in the HPLS siddurim to distinguish between the two
orders of prayer. Also, notes are provided to enable one to pray Nusach HaAir
(Chabad).

The Nusach HaAri prayers for the Weekday Morning Service and for the Morning
Service for Shabbat and Festivals are now also available in our two newly-published
HPLS Chabad Companion Siddurim. These siddurim have a page-number
cross-references to find the corresponding page in the Chabad's

Preliminary markup for Adon Olam
In the late 1900's, just before my Sabra wife Yehudit
passed away, she helped me in pronouncing
many Hebrew words. I wanted to be able to pray in
Hebrew quickly, and also know what the words meant.
With my wife's help, I wrote notes above some words, like in the photo above, but I needed
more. I wanted to have the prayers in an easier-to-read form.

Being a technical writer, with 40 years experience, I was able to create a
Phonetically-Translated prayer book
from my notes. Because my wife was Israeli, the prayers
wound up having Israeli pronunciation. That's ok because I figure that all Jews m
ay someday
end up in Israel.

I connected with
Rabbi Shmuel Rabin, who is a scholar in Hebrew grammar and in the
Hebrew prayer service. He went through my manuscript with a fine-tooth comb, correcting
the transliterations, translations and the prayers. In time, we were able to produce
a library of
transliterated Hebrew publications
.  These are described after the Sales Prices and a few
reasons why you should use our siddurim.

We also provide a library of Phonetic-Transliterated blessings that can be saved or viewed from
our
Blessing Sheets page.
HPLS publications are also a useful tool for anyone who needs to
read out loud and be assured of correct pronounciation.

Our edition, Rabbi Shmuel Rabin can be relied on for absolute
correctness in the pronunciation of all the Hebrew words in the
HPLS siddurim.

Here are some examples of commonly mispronounced words:
YeerAy (you will fear) is from Psalm 115, said during
the Hallel Prayer
ShehT'chahDehsh (that You will renew) is from the
Sabbath blessing for the new moon.
BeekDooShahToh (in His holiness) said when
opening the ark.
The top transliteration is the correct pronunciation.
SahM'chehNoo (Gladden us) Opening word of the
third paragraph said after reading the Haftorah.
MeeM'kohMoh (from His place) Opening word of
Musaf Kedusha after BahRooch K'vohd ....
OozChahrTehm (and you will remember) is from the
third paragraph of the Sh'mah (Numbers 15:37-41)
OohCh'tahvTahm (and you will inscribe them) is
from the first paragraph of the Sh'mah (Numbers 6:5-9)
